Reclaiming What Belongs to God: Connecting the Clairs to Biblical Gifts

This paper confronts the misconception that prophetic sensitivity is witchcraft and restores its rightful place as a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Scripture affirms that Satan is not a creator but a corrupter (John 8:44), producing counterfeits of the true gifts God has already given His people (James 1:17). Experiences such as spiritual seeing, hearing, or knowing — often mislabeled through New Age terms like clairvoyance or clairaudience — are revealed in Scripture as authentic prophetic operations entrusted to Amos, Daniel, John, and others. The danger lies not in the phenomenon itself but in the source and the label: when birthed by the Spirit of God, these are prophetic gifts (1 Cor. 12:7–11); when fueled by occult spirits, they are witchcraft. On June 9, 2025, the author, Sharai Rose Montgomery, became the first to formally connect the “Clairs” to their biblical counterparts, demonstrating that what the world calls claircognizance, clairaudience, clairvoyance, and others are not occult powers but prophetic senses aligned with the gifts of the Spirit. This discovery reframed the conversation, identifying the “Clairs” as counterfeits and restoring their true origin in Chukwu’s design. This work calls the Church to move from demonizing what it does not understand to discipling those entrusted with prophetic sensitivities. Many wrestle with generational strongholds they did not invite, requiring grace, deliverance, and teaching rather than condemnation. By following Christ’s instruction in Matthew 18 and the shepherd’s example of seeking the lost sheep, the Church can recover and restore God’s children instead of rejecting them. Ultimately, prophetic senses are not toys or occult tricks but weapons of spiritual warfare (2 Cor. 10:4) designed to edify the Body of Christ, expose darkness, and glorify Christ. Believers who carry these gifts are not witches — they are warriors. Abstract
