Dark Energy, The Cosmological Constant and the Vacuum Catastrophe - A Structural Explanation
For over a century, physics has struggled with one of its greatest paradoxes: the ‘Vacuum Catastrophe’ — a discrepancy of 122 orders of magnitude between quantum predictions and cosmological observations. This work shows that the catastrophe is an illusion. Dark energy, the cosmological constant, and vacuum energy are not separate mysteries, but different faces of a single geometric principle: Area Dilution. Starting from a Planck sphere instead of a singularity, we show how residual curvature dilutes into expansion, uniting vacuum tension, time, and space growth. In cosmic voids, this mechanism unfolds most clearly. The Continuity Theory reveals that the supposed catastrophe is in fact the engine of the universe’s expansion
