The Effect of Synergy Creation on Employee Performance

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of synergy creation on employee performance in case of Ethiopian Electric Utility Dire Dawa region. The study was employed both descriptive and explanatory research design. This study used a quantitative research approach to identify the relationship between variables and determine the degree of influence on employee performance. This study used a self-administered questionnaire instrument that was distributed to employees of EEU. The study was used simple random and stratified sampling technique. The total population was 398 by using simple random technique the study was selected 200 employees who currently working in EEU Dire Dawa region who could provide relevant and reliable information. Employee performance was treated as the dependent variable, with synergy, team members’ ability, esprit de corps (team spirit), and team trust as the independent variable. Using SPSS software version 25 for data analysis, descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation were used, as well as inferential statistics. The study’s finding shows that synergy, team members ability, team trust have positive and significant effect on employees performance. Esprit De corps has positive effect on employees’ performance.
