Moral Theology in Digital Age
This paper examines the enduring significance of moral theology and Christian ethics in an era increasingly dominated by artificial intelligence, automation, and digital systems. While technological advancement has rendered many traditional professions obsolete or fundamentally transformed, moral theology and Christian ethics remain irreplaceable disciplines essential for human flourishing. Through analysis of technological limitations in addressing moral, emotional, and anthropological dimensions of human existence, this study demonstrates that these theological disciplines offer unique contributions that cannot be replicated by machines. The paper argues that rather than becoming obsolete, moral theology and Christian ethics are more crucial than ever, providing essential guidance for navigating the ethical complexities of the digital age while preserving human dignity and moral agency.
