Beyond "Fascism as Action through Time": A Possest–PQF Reply on Temporal Filtration and Governance
This paper reframes fascism not as an ideology, movement, or historical anomaly — but as a filtration protocol acting on time itself. Drawing on the Possest–PQF framework, fascism is modeled as recursive compression of accessibility across a membrane of potentiality (𝔇), driven by operators δ* acting on filtration dynamics (∆𝔽). The result is not persuasion, but programmable inevitability: crisis-induced gating loops that reorganize what can appear, when, and how. We formalize this process using filtration curvature (κ_F), binary funnel indices (B(k)), and synchronization metrics (S(τ)) — constructing a diagnostic grammar for detecting fascism as a timing regime rather than a content regime. From “no alternatives” to metronomic myths, we show how crises act not to reveal danger, but to overwrite the very structure of availability. Interventions must therefore target filters, not symbols. Desynchronization, stochastic gating, and operator-level redirection are proposed as concrete counter-operations. Fascism, in this view, is not the return of the past — but a recursive contraction of the future.
