Christological Hematology
This paper explores the theological concept of "Christological Hematology", the study of blood's soteriological significance throughout Scripture, culminating in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Through examining Old Testament blood typologies and their New Testament fulfillment, this research demonstrates how blood serves as the central metaphor for life, covenant, atonement, and redemption in biblical theology. The study traces the progression from sacrificial blood in the Mosaic system to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ's blood, revealing a unified divine plan of salvation. By analyzing key biblical texts, patristic interpretations, and contemporary theological perspectives, this paper argues that Christ's blood represents the apex of God's redemptive history and remains foundational to Christian soteriology. The research concludes that understanding the biblical theology of blood is essential for comprehending the full scope of Christ's atoning work and its implications for Christian faith and practice.
