Vibro-Resonant Therapy and Oscillatory Dysregulation Disorders: A Framework for Chronic, Treatment-Resistant Conditions
This paper introduces the concept of Oscillatory Dysregulation Disorders (ODDs), a proposed class of chronic, treatment-resistant conditions—including tinnitus, visual snow, paresthesias, fibromyalgia, and chronic neck pain—that share a common substrate of maladaptive resonance across biological systems. A distinct Persistent Step-Change (PSC) phenotype is described, in which symptoms acutely intensify after a single sleep–wake transition and remain permanently worsened. To address these disorders, we propose vibro-resonant therapy, a framework for inducing systemic oscillatory coherence across musculoskeletal, autonomic, and sensory domains. Three complementary interventions are outlined: Acupuncture-Needle Vibrotherapy for localized phase resetting, A Full-Body Vibroacoustic Enclosure for systemic entrainment, and A novel Gel Adaptive Resonant Translator (GART) for cross-body amplitude translation. By embedding these modalities into feedback-driven protocols timed to the sleep–wake cycle, this framework aims to reduce informational asymmetry, restore coherence, and create windows for realignment even in PSC cases. The paper positions vibro-resonant therapy as both a theoretical and testable pathway toward treatments for disorders that currently lack effective solutions.
