First Confirmed Photographic Record of the Keratin Beetle Omorgus (Afromorgus) testudo (Arrow, 1927) (Coleoptera: Trogidae) from India and its Occurrence after Nearly 100 Years

Based on photographs taken in Bhuj, Gujarat, India, this study reports the first sighting of the keratin beetle Omorgus (Afromorgus) testudo (Arrow, 1927) from India. A distribution map and high-resolution images of O. (A.) testudo are included. Before this study, there were no voucher-based studies or photographic records available on citizen science websites regarding this species, thus this record is the first record of O. (A.) testudo from India. This report also presents its occurrence after a long gap of 96 years. A checklist of Trogidae from India with updated nomenclature is also provided.
