Multiscale Modeling of Gas Dynamic Flow Characteristics through Open-Pored Media

The article considers the approach of end-to-end numerical simulation of gas flow in a channel with a porous media. In this paper, a computational model is constructed for one open-porous material with a detailed description of the structure of porous channels and consideration of the boundary layer on the walls of porous channels. The size of the computational grid describing the viscous flow region inside the porous structure was $$\sim 6.7\times 10^{7}$$ cells. Using a computational model, the flow in a porous media was modeled for various disturbances in the flow entering the porous media. Estimates of the transfer coefficients for the macromodel are obtained based on the calculation results. The calculations were performed using the LOGOS software package on a supercomputer in parallel mode.
