Theoretical and Methodological Essence of Technological Scouting as an Effective Tool for Commercialization of Innovative Technologies

The article reveals the theoretical and methodological essence of technological scouting as a modern tool for identifying, evaluating and implementing innovative technologies in the process of their commercialization. The analysis of the evolution of the concept of "technological scouting" in the context of global innovation transformations and the growing role of open innovations is carried out. The main methods, models and approaches to the organization of the scouting process, which allow to effectively identify promising technologies and promote their further market implementation, are characterized. The role of scouts in corporate innovation management, their interaction with research institutions, startups, venture funds and other stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem is defined. The methodological principles of building a system of technological scouting at the enterprise, taking into account the industry specifics and strategic goals of innovative development, have been substantiated. Recommendations for the integration of scouting tools into the overall innovation management system, as well as approaches to assessing the effectiveness of such implementation, are proposed.
