Direct Position Determination in Presence of Uncertain Propagation Loss
This correspondence outlines a framework for joint direct position determination (DPD) and channel state parameter estimation with uncertain path loss. An iterative algorithm is proposed to resolve the high-dimensional optimization problem. The Cramér-Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) for source position and channel state parameters are derived for performance evaluation. Numerical investigations of typical scenarios are conducted to study the performance of the proposed method and the results demonstrate that partial knowledge on channel state is beneficial for localization accuracy improvement.
