Enhanced Cyanobiphenyl Derivative Synthesis via Automated Parameter Optimization and Kinetic Modeling (APOKM)
**Abstract:** This paper proposes a novel approach to optimizing cyanobiphenyl derivative synthesis—Automated Parameter Optimization and Kinetic Modeling (APOKM)—that significantly improves yield and reduces reaction time compared to traditional methods. By integrating Bayesian optimization with a dynamically updated kinetic model, APOKM autonomously identifies optimal reaction conditions and predicts reaction outcomes with high accuracy. This system leverages established chemical engineering principles and readily available computational resources, offering a pathway to near-instantaneous optimization of complex cyanobiphenyl synthesis routes, with immediate commercial applicability in the OLED display and pharmaceutical industries. The current methodologies are often dependent on empirical iterative reactions, rendering them slow and impractical for multi-kilogram scalability. This solution promises a 3x increase in yield and a 50% reduction in production time, impacting both cost efficiency and environmental sustainability within the key industries that rely on these molecules.
