История почвенных исследований на Крайнем Северо-Востоке России и роль в них лаборатории почвоведения ИБПС ДВО РАН

The article discusses the key stages of studying the soil cover in Russia's North-East, from reconnaissance expeditions of the 1920s to systematic studies performed by the Institute of Biological Problems of the North FEB AS USSR in the late 20th - early 21st century. Special attention is paid to soil research in the 1970-80s, which resulted in fundamental conclusions used to compile the soil map of the entire USSR's North-East as well as some individual pages of the USSR Federal Soil Map. The work outcome received by soil scientists of the IBPN FEB AS USSR in Magadan are presented.
