Розвиток критичного мислення здобувачів вищої освіти через освоєння методології наукових досліджень

The article highlights the potential of scientific research methodology as an effective means of developing critical thinking in higher education students. It is emphasized that the formation of critical thinking goes beyond the mechanical assimilation of the content of educational disciplines and is the result of the holistic involvement of students in research activities. The main stages of mastering the methodology of scientific knowledge are analyzed – from problem formulation and analyzing professional literature to interpreting results and formulating conclusions. Particular attention is paid to practice-oriented forms of work that contribute to the enhancement of critical thinking: analysis of scientific texts, case methods, debates, problem-based learning, digital research diaries and the use of gamification elements. It is emphasized that studying the courses "Fundamentals of Psychological and Pedagogical Research" and "Methodology and Organization of Scientific Research" by applicants for the specialty 012 "Preschool Education" at Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy provides not only the formation of research skills, but also the development of intellectual flexibility, academic integrity and the ability to achieve scientific autonomy.
