The Inevitable Obsolescence: A Relational Coherence Theory of Strategic Decay and Evolutionary Imperative
This is an extension of the Relational Coherence Theory (RCT) and Relational Ontological Framework (ROF) to represent strategic and tactical systems in human spaces (e.g., economic, social, military). Here, the classical hierarchical differentiation of the strategy (long-term, high-level) and the tactics (short-term, operational) is not primary; both are modelled as meta-stable, topological eigenstates of the Primordial Relational Field (PRF). The effectiveness of them is determined by its compatibility with the changing relational structure of their surroundings. The non-associative algebra of the PRF is a kind of engine of novelty, which will incessantly bring a new piece of information to the scene, and will continuously force the field to new levels of coherence. This requires that any fixed strategic or tactical structure should undergo a monotonic decline in efficacy a process that we refer to as Relational Strategic Decay. We specify this decay mathematically and are able to show that the only counter-principle is the conscious and iterative evolution of the strategy itself, which is why not adaptation but a cosmologic imperative based on first principles.
