Novel Applications of Consecutive Square Root Approximations: A Framework for Machine Learning Optimization and Computational Algorithms

Although the mathematical relationship √ n +1 − √ n ≈ 1 2 √ n is well-established in ap- proximation theory, its systematic application to machine learning optimization and compu- tational algorithms remains largely unexplored. We present a comprehensive framework that leverages this consecutive difference relationship to develop novel learning rate schedules and computational methods. My approach achieves up to 100× improvement in optimization convergence while maintaining theoretical guarantees. Through extensive empirical valida- tion in multiple domains, including gradient descent optimization, real-time navigation, and discrete grid computations, I demonstrate both the power and limitations of consecutive difference-based methods. We provide a rigorous boundary analysis to identify when such approaches succeed or fail, along with a globally accessible implementation for reproducible research. My work establishes consecutive difference approximation as a valuable tool for algorithm design, while contributing methodological frameworks for systematic validation of mathematical insights in practical applications.
