CLINICAL AND IMMUNOLOGICAL PREDICTORS OF ADVERSE MYOCARDIAL REMODELING AFTER TRANSCATHETER VENTRICULAR SEPTAL DEFECT CLOSURE IN CHILDREN
The present study explores the contribution of immune mechanisms to myocardial remodeling in children after transcatheter ventricular septal defect (VSD) closure. A total of 200 patients were monitored through clinical assessment, echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and immunological profiling. The analysis demonstrated that excessive activation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and innate immune markers correlated with adverse remodeling, whereas balanced immune responses were linked to favorable outcomes. Based on the integration of clinical, imaging, and immunological data, a predictive model was designed, providing reliable stratification of high-risk patients. The findings may improve individualized follow-up and preventive strategies in pediatric cardiology.
