Beyond Saltatory Conduction: A Molecular Loop Continuity Model for Instantaneous and Simultaneous Sensory Perception
This paper challenges the classical saltatory conduction paradigm by addressing the simultaneity of sensory perception across distant body regions. We propose the Molecular Loop Continuity Model, in which sensory information is transmitted through the structural continuity of molecular assemblies rather than sequential ionic jumps. The model explains why humans and large animals such as whales experience simultaneous perception of distant stimuli, despite expected conduction delays. By emphasizing structural co-movement instead of resonance-based propagation, this work provides a novel theoretical framework for understanding instantaneous perception.
