THE ROLE OF BIOMARKERS IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF UNDIFFERENTIATED CONNECTIVE TISSUE DYSPLASIA
Undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia represents a pressing challenge for modern clinical practice, attracting the attention of physicians, geneticists, and specialists from different medical fields. Timely and accurate diagnosis of this condition is crucial, yet remains problematic due to the absence of universal laboratory criteria. Numerous diagnostic methods and biochemical tests have been suggested, but most of them demonstrate only relative reliability and cannot be considered as absolute markers. In this context, the search for informative biomarkers—such as amino acids, collagen derivatives, or glycosaminoglycans—has become an essential direction of current research.
