The joys and sorrows, hopes and aspirations, emotions and mindset of a social being — in short, the totality ofhuman life — are expressed through culture. Folk culture is the reflection of the rural people's lived experiences, encompassing their hopes, dreams, joys, sorrows, love, and longing. The creators of this folk culture are the self-taught rural folk singers of Bengal, who, through their unique talents, intellect, and spiritual consciousness, depictvarious aspects of society — including its inconsistencies, love stories, and tales of separation — through melodiesand songs. The discussed article reveals that the socially analytical expressions of Bengal's folk singers havetranscended national boundaries and created a connection of thought and emotion among sociologists across theworld. These expressions have played a remarkable role in the creation of social theories. Despite being thousandsof miles apart and belonging to different cultures and civilizations, people have found unity in thought — reflectedthrough various sociological theories. The songs of Bengal’s self-taught folk singers have merged with universaltheories and contributed to presenting a global or universal understanding of sociological concepts.
