CHEMICAL POLLUTION OF ECOSYSTEMS: TRANSFORMATION MECHANISMS AND NEUTRALIZATION WAYS
The presented article considers issues related to the study of the nature of chemical pollution of ecosystems and its consequences, with special attention paid to the analysis of the mechanisms of transformation of pollutants occurring in various components of the natural environment. In particular, physicochemical and biochemical processes are studied in detail, which are known to have a decisive influence on the behavior and stability of toxicants in water resources, soil cover and atmospheric air. In addition, the emphasis is placed on the assessment of environmental risks caused by the impact of pollutants on biodiversity, as well as on the analysis of factors that directly or indirectly affect human health. Based on the conducted study, modern approaches to the neutralization of chemical pollutants are substantiated, among which a special place is occupied by technological methods of purification, bioremediation and concepts based on the principles of "green chemistry". In conclusion, it is emphasized that the results of the study confirm the need for an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to minimizing chemical impacts on ecosystems and to the development of long-term environmental safety strategies.
