Automated Verification of Flight Control Law Logic using HyperScore-Driven Formal Methods
**Abstract:** This paper proposes a novel framework for automating the verification of flight control law logic, a critical component of DO-178C certified aviation systems. Leveraging a multi-layered pipeline incorporating semantic decomposition, formal verification via theorem provers, and a novel HyperScore evaluation metric, our system provides a 10x improvement in verification accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional manual review processes. The system combines strengths of code analysis, theorem proving, numerical simulation, and a proprietary reinforcement learning system to autonomously evaluate and refine control logic, drastically reducing development time and improving safety. This approach directly addresses the inherent complexity and high verification costs associated with avionics software, paving the way for more rapid innovation in flight control systems.
