STUDY OF INFLUENCE OF THERMAL CYCLING MODE ON STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL BASED ON BASALT FIBER
The effect of thermal cycling mode selection on the structure and properties of the basalt fiber composite without addition and with addition of finely dispersed SiO2 was investigated. It is shown that porosity and permeability in the composite material in the ranges of 800 оС - 1050 оС and 800 оС - 1080 оС remain practically constant and amount to 75.6% and 76.2%, 41.6 ∙ 10-12 m2 and 41, 8 ∙ 10-12 m2; based on basalt fibre with addition of SiO2 in the range of 500 оС - 770 оС - decrease on average 1.2 times from 77.1% to 62.4% and from 54.9 ∙ 10-12 m2 to 46.5 ∙ 10-12 m2 relative to the range of 500 оС - 750 оС. The addition of highly dispersed SiO2 to the basalt fiber modifies the surface of the fiber and increases the compressive strength to 15 MPa. Compression strength of composite material based on basalt fibre after thermal cycling in temperature range 800 оС - 1080 оС is 8 MPa.
