Commemorative Medals and Coins for the Centennial of the Royal Police Cadet Academy

The centennial celebration of the Royal Police Cadet Academy, held on April 19, 2002, marked a significant milestone for Thailand’s first police education institution. To commemorate this occasion, the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance issued commemorative coins and medals in various forms, including proof and standard coins as well as gold, silver, copper, and special editions of medals. These issues were consecrated through a grand Buddhist ceremony at the Ordination Hall of Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), with the participation of distinguished monks from across the country. As a result, the commemorative coins and medals are recognized not only as valuable historical and numismatic collectibles but also as sacred objects embodying cultural and spiritual significance.
