PROTOTIPE APLIKASI BANK SAMPAH UNTUK PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH TERORGANISIR

ABSTRACTUrban waste management in Indonesia faces significantchallenges, SIPSN KLHK 2024 data indicates national wastegeneration reached 38,330,407.26 tons/year, with 33.65%remaining unmanaged effectively. Low sorting awareness andlack of structured systems are key contributing factors. Thisstudy develops a 'Waste Bank' mobile application prototypebased on Android to facilitate independent waste sorting andmanagement for communities. The application integrates AI-based image classification for waste, scheduled pickup services, and a transparent point incentive system. Utilizing thePrototyping method, initial testing shows the system simplifiessorting processes, provides clear incentives, and has thepotential to increase public participation in sustainable wastemanagement. Keywords: Waste Bank, mobile application, Android system, waste classification, waste management
