Research Methodology in Biblical Perspective
This paper examines Jesus Christ's teachings as a foundational model for ethical research methodology, with particular emphasis on his requirement for verification through multiple witnesses and sources. Through biblical-theological analysis and qualitative examination of key scriptural passages, this study demonstrates how Jesus's approach to establishing truth mirrors contemporary research principles including triangulation, peer review, and evidence-based inquiry. The research reveals that Jesus's methodological framework, rooted in Old Testament jurisprudence and expanded through New Testament teachings, provides a robust ethical foundation for addressing modern challenges of misinformation, hasty judgment, and inadequate verification in academic, legal, and social contexts. The findings suggest that integrating these biblical principles into contemporary research practices could significantly enhance the reliability and ethical integrity of truth-seeking endeavors across multiple disciplines.
