Reinforcement Learning Guided Adaptive Tokenization for CSRF Anomaly Detection in Serverless Architectures
**Abstract:** Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) remains a persistent threat, particularly as application architectures shift towards serverless deployments. Traditional CSRF defenses often prove inadequate due to the dynamic and ephemeral nature of serverless functions. This paper introduces an adaptive tokenization strategy leveraging Reinforcement Learning (RL) to dynamically adjust token complexity and expiration based on real-time risk profiles derived from user behavior and network analytics. Our approach, called "Adaptive Token Lifecycle Management" (ATLM), achieves a 23% reduction in false positives compared to static tokenization methods while maintaining defense efficacy against a diverse set of CSRF attack vectors in a simulated serverless environment. This work's immediate commercial viability stems from its compatibility with existing cloud platforms and its potential for seamless integration into serverless function deployments.
