Tables for genomic characterization of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from kumasi metropolis in Ghana

These datasets were developed under Chapter Four of my PhD thesis, which focuses on the genomic characterization of Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates recovered from wastewater in the Kumasi Metropolis. The tables provide detailed phenotypic, genomic, and plasmid-level insights into the antimicrobial resistance and population structure of these isolates. Dataset descriptions Table 4.3 – Minimum inhibitory concentration data This table presents the minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of K. pneumoniae strains obtained in this study when tested against 19 clinically relevant antibiotics. The data provide insights into antimicrobial susceptibility patterns. Table 4.4 – Genome metadata and genetic determinants This dataset contains metadata and genomic features of K. pneumoniae isolates from this study, including antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes, plasmid replicon types, and virulence factors identified through bioinformatic analyses. Table 4.5 – Metadata and genetic determinants from Pathogenwatch This dataset includes AMR genes, plasmid replicons, and virulence factors of K. pneumoniae genomes analyzed through Pathogenwatch. It complements the in-house genomic analysis and provides comparative insights into the resistome and mobilome of the isolates. Table 4.6 – Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) distances Pairwise SNP distance data are provided for K. pneumoniae sequence types ST18 and ST147, based on whole-genome alignments. These distances highlight the genetic relatedness and population structure of isolates within each sequence type. Table 4.7 – Reconstructed plasmid information This table includes details of plasmids reconstructed from draft genome assemblies of K. pneumoniae isolates in this study. Reported features include plasmid size, annotated AMR genes, and heavy metal resistance determinants.
