Der UNITE! Metacampus als Beispiel für Digitale Lehrinfrastruktur und Kooperation im europäischen Hochschulraum
The UNITE! Metacampus is a federated learning management system (LMS) designed to support collaborative teaching and digital infrastructure across nine European higher education institutions participating in the UNITE! Alliance. Built on Moodle (open source) and integrated via eduGAIN for seamless single sign‑on, the platform provides centralized support in partnership with each institution’s e‑learning services and pilots Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) connections with partner LMSs. The poster outlines the Metacampus’ key characteristics - universal access for alliance members, open‑source architecture, and coordinated technical support - and situates the system within the broader UNITE! digital campus framework described in the “Digital Campus” work package report (Ebner et al., 2024). It also references supporting resources, including a German‑language video demonstration and related publications hosted in the TU Graz repository. By aligning IT infrastructures, the Metacampus enables a range of learning scenarios, from joint courses to cross‑institutional resource sharing, thereby advancing European cooperation in digital higher education. The poster is in German.
