Validation Study For The MCP Framework

This study presents a practical validation of the "Cube of Modern Power" framework through a Proof of Concept (PoC) applied to electricity generation forecasting using Transformer models. The framework is implemented across four components: 1. Understand: Comprehensive data analysis of 25 years (2000-2024) of electricity generation, identifying patterns, trends, and key metrics. 2. Conclude: Transformer-based model training and evaluation, achieving effective predictive performance (Training MAE=0.356, Test MAE=7.18). 3. Apply: Forecasting deployment for 2025-2027 with real-time integration into energy management systems. 4. Affect: Strategic impact analysis demonstrating AI-driven decision-making, smart grid optimization, and infrastructure planning. The study validates the framework's systematic approach, technical effectiveness, and practical applicability, providing empirical evidence that AI research can translate into measurable operational and strategic outcomes. The framework demonstrates scalability, flexibility, and potential adoption across multiple domains beyond energy forecasting. Keywords: Modern Power Cube, Electricity Generation, Forecasting, Transformer Models, AI Framework, Data Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Smart Grid, Operational Impact

Abstract

This study presents a practical validation of the "Cube of Modern Power" framework through a Proof of Concept (PoC) applied to electricity generation forecasting using Transformer models. The framework is implemented across four components: 1. Understand: Comprehensive data analysis of 25 years (2000-2024) of electricity generation, identifying patterns, trends, and key metrics. 2. Conclude: Transformer-based model training and evaluation, achieving effective predictive performance (Training MAE=0.356, Test MAE=7.18). 3. Apply: Forecasting deployment for 2025-2027 with real-time integration into energy management systems. 4. Affect: Strategic impact analysis demonstrating AI-driven decision-making, smart grid optimization, and infrastructure planning. The study validates the framework's systematic approach, technical effectiveness, and practical applicability, providing empirical evidence that AI research can translate into measurable operational and strategic outcomes. The framework demonstrates scalability, flexibility, and potential adoption across multiple domains beyond energy forecasting. Keywords: Modern Power Cube, Electricity Generation, Forecasting, Transformer Models, AI Framework, Data Analysis, Predictive Modeling, Smart Grid, Operational Impact
