Thermodynamics as De Broglie Physics for Particle Ensembles.

We demonstrate that thermodynamics emerges naturally from de Broglie relations when applied to particle ensembles. Starting from the statistical mechanics definition of entropy δS = kB(δΩ/Ω), we derive the fundamental de Broglie relation δp = hδψ,proving these frameworks are equivalent. We show that entropy is simply the energytemperature slope δS = δE/δT, providing a clear physical interpretation. This unification reveals that temperature is meaningful only for ensembles, explaining why theuniverse as a single entity has constant entropy and undefined temperature.

Abstract

We demonstrate that thermodynamics emerges naturally from de Broglie relations when applied to particle ensembles. Starting from the statistical mechanics definition of entropy δS = kB(δΩ/Ω), we derive the fundamental de Broglie relation δp = hδψ,proving these frameworks are equivalent. We show that entropy is simply the energytemperature slope δS = δE/δT, providing a clear physical interpretation. This unification reveals that temperature is meaningful only for ensembles, explaining why theuniverse as a single entity has constant entropy and undefined temperature.
