Praxisorientierte Leitlinien für Lieferanten von DataCite DOI-Metadaten

The practical guidelines for DataCite DOI metadata providers were developed as part of the PID Network Germany project to provide research institutions with concrete recommendations for creating and maintaining high-quality, FAIR-compliant DataCite DOI metadata. Building on previous project results, community initiatives, the DataCite Metadata Schema 4.6, the DINI certificate, and established community practices, the guidelines fill a gap by operationalizing recommended fields through examples, technical guidance, and benchmarks, while aligning them with the FAIR principles. Two pilot institutions are testing the guidelines as part of an implementation call, and their experiences will inform future revisions.
