Fact Drive Hypothesis: A New Category of Faster-Than-Light Motion via Event Acceleration
We propose a novel hypothesis based on the distinction between the velocity of a physical signal and the effective velocity of an event. Unlike the Alcubierre warp drive or wormhole models, which require exotic matter and enormous energy, the Fact Drive considers the possibility of accelerating the occurrence of an encounter (the “fact”) by combining sub-luminal ship motion with partial local metric contraction. This concept allows for scenarios of faster-than-light convergence without violating the local speed limit of light.
