Datasheet: Hand-Labeled Road Surface Conditions in New York State Department of Transportation Camera Images

This datasheet serves as data documentation for research being conducted at the University at Albany (State University of New York) and the New York State Department of Transportation to automatically predict weather-related road surface conditions. Specifically, a hand-labeled image dataset (occasionally referred to as simply the "dataset") is discussed in detail in this document. Please cite this work if the labeling methods or other details presented in this datasheet are used in your research. The template for this datasheet is provided by Gebru et al. (2021), and Cao and Daumé III (2020) is used as a reference example of another published datasheet.
