LINGUISTIC CORPUS AND IT'S ADVANTAGES

A corpus is a modern and extensively implemented computer-based system for linguistic research. In language studies, the corpus serves as a reliable and fast base for collecting material, working with dictionaries, studying changes in dialects, and determining the rate of lexical growth of the language. As an information system of modern linguistics, the corpus helps us raise questions and problems that had not been identified before. The article discusses the corpus in linguistics and its conveniences. Conclusions about the advantages of linguistic corpora are presented.
