Data Skills for Provenance Research: Experiences, Ideas and Wishes
The joint project SODa – Collections, Objects, Data Literacy aims is to establish a transdisciplinary data literacy centre for university collections where researchers can learn and develop the data literacy skills they need for their work. One area of expertise at SODa is Digital Provenance Research. One target group for this expertise is researchers who conduct transdisciplinary (digital) provenance research in university collections. In order to develop a programme that meets the challenges and wishes of the target group, a focus group discussion was held in February 2025 to gather experiences, ideas, wishes and requirements to be incorporated into the development of a matching programme. The poster for the autumn conference of the Arbeitskreis Provenienzforschung e. V. presents the SODa joint project as well as the qualitative method of the focus group discussion and its initial evaluation results.
