Emerging Threats and Countermeasures in Cyber Security– Theoretical Study
Abstract In the rapidly changing digital environment, cyber risks have become more advanced and prevalent and are being used against individuals, businesses, or government alike. The legacy approaches to security are increasingly inefficient against advanced threats, including ransomware-as-a-service, AI-generated phishing, and deepfake attacks. In this paper, we aim to provide an overview of the scale of developing cyber threats and countermeasures emerging while evaluating their relevance in today's environment globally. Through the study of case studies and industry insights, we will reinforce the need for adaptive security models, risk assessment, and technology integration. Additionally, we will demonstrate how cyber risks need to be viewed and evaluated through continuous innovation, collaboration, and education as our world becomes more connected.
