Supplement: Mass as Illusion – Measurement Artifact of Information Density

This document is a supplement to the main work “Right to the Leap – The Breakout of Consciousness” (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.16933561). It develops the claim that mass is not an intrinsic property of matter, but a measurement artifact emerging from information density. Just as time is only an index for ordering states, and gravity arises as the gradient of informational congestion, mass too is an emergent calibration. The supplement also connects this view to the dark matter puzzle, suggesting that what is measured as “missing mass” may reflect unseen information density rather than undiscovered particles.

Abstract

This document is a supplement to the main work “Right to the Leap – The Breakout of Consciousness” (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.16933561). It develops the claim that mass is not an intrinsic property of matter, but a measurement artifact emerging from information density. Just as time is only an index for ordering states, and gravity arises as the gradient of informational congestion, mass too is an emergent calibration. The supplement also connects this view to the dark matter puzzle, suggesting that what is measured as “missing mass” may reflect unseen information density rather than undiscovered particles.
