Zoonotic Diseases: Causes, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment and Influence of Climate
ABSTRACT: Climate change is real and here. It has a wide range of effects on the environment – increasing global temperatures & Extreme Weather Events (EWE) which in turn are impacting human health. Climate change is a potent factor that is emerging as a global risk by altering disease occurrence, transmission, virulence and pathogenicity of the pathogenic microbes. It affects the main determinants of the disease ecology such as host, pathogen, and environment. A lot of challenges are involved in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention strategies and this must be overcome. This paper specifically focuses on the Zoonotic diseases induced by climate change. This paper addresses the major area of climate change and lists major zoonotic diseases and its mechanism of transmission. Also offers the current treatment available and clinical correlation between symptoms and diagnostic methods. This paper concludes with broader requirement of further research and caution to be exercised during the application of the Symptom, Diagnosis, Treatment outlined in the treatment section of this paper. Keywords: zoonotic diseases, Climate Change, infectious diseases
