How to report phone fraud in order to get a case filed?

The article discusses a type of crimes committed using information technology, such as telephone fraud. They have become widespread in Russia in the current period and pose an acute criminal problem for our society. The results of a sample study of the practice of reviewing and resolving allegations of these acts in law enforcement agencies are presented. The typical disadvantages of this practice and violations of procedural rules that victims may encounter are described. The consequences of an inappropriate response to allegations of telephone fraud are indicated, recommendations are proposed for victims and their representatives in the criminal process aimed at improving the situation of victims, preventing and timely suppressing crimes, and minimizing harm from them.
