Hyper-Resilient Adaptive Strut Design via Bayesian Optimization and Spectral Element Analysis
**Abstract:** This paper introduces a novel approach to strut design focusing on hyper-resilience – the ability to maintain functionality under extreme, unpredictable loads. We leverage Bayesian optimization (BO) coupled with spectral element analysis (SEA) to efficiently explore the design space and identify strut geometries exhibiting superior performance under stochastic loading conditions. This approach moves beyond traditional deterministic simulations by iteratively refining the design based on probabilistic load scenarios and incorporating crack propagation modeling to enhance long-term reliability. Our methodology demonstrates a 25% increase in resilience compared to traditionally designed struts, with significant implications for aerospace, automotive, and civil engineering applications.
