Universal DID-Native Addressing (UDNA) Technical Specification.
This technical specification presents Universal DID-Native Addressing (UDNA), a novel addressing primitive that reimagines network identity and routing by making Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) the foundational addressing mechanism. Unlike traditional IP/DNS-based addressing, UDNA establishes cryptographic identity as the primary addressing primitive, enabling built-in authentication, authorization, and privacy while maintaining global uniqueness without central coordination. The document details UDNA’s integration as a core primitive within the Sirraya Codon Protocol (SCP), providing a complete framework for identity-centric networking. By eliminating the separation between location, naming, and identity, UDNA simplifies trust infrastructure, enhances privacy, and reduces reliance on centralized DNS and PKI systems.
