Systematic Analysis of Misconceptions in Indian Constitutional, Dharmic, and Historical Narratives: A Four-Tier Evidence Framework
Background: India's civilizational discourse has been significantly shaped by colonial interpretations, post-independence political dynamics, and contemporary misconceptions that influence policy-making, education, and global perceptions. Methods: This study employs a systematic four-tier verification framework integrating primary source validation, judicial/scholarly confirmation, cross-reference consistency, and archaeological evidence validation to address 91 myths across constitutional jurisprudence, Sanatana Dharma, and historical narratives. Results: The analysis reveals six primary sources of mythogenesis and demonstrates significant impacts on policy formation, social cohesion, and international relations. Cross-pillar thematic analysis identifies environmental consciousness, gender equality, and social mobility as unifying themes across all three domains. Conclusions: Systematic myth-correction using rigorous constitutional jurisprudence, comprehensive dharmic studies, and evidence-based historical research provides essential foundations for informed governance, social harmony, and authentic international engagement.
