URBAN VS RURAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN DISTRICT RAEBARELI (UTTAR PRADESH)
This paper explores the deep-rooted disparities in human development between urban and rural areas of Raebareli district, Uttar Pradesh, through the lens of the Human Development Index (HDI). Drawing on both field-style observations and secondary data, the study takes a mixed-methods approach to analyze five key domains: health, education, economic structure, infrastructure, and social inclusion. By situating Raebareli within the wider developmental context of Uttar Pradesh, the research reveals stark contrasts in opportunities and outcomes between urban and rural populations. Five structured tables present clear, comparative insights that highlight where gaps persist and progress is needed. While grounded in evidence, the paper is written in an accessible style to engage both academic and policy audiences. Ultimately, it offers targeted, practical recommendations aimed at bridging the urban-rural divide and fostering more equitable human development across the district.
