Australpavlovskyella Barker & Kelava & Shaw & Teo & Gofton & Tan & Barker & Cho & Nakao & Muñoz-Leal & Mans 2025, gen. nov.

Genus Australpavlovskyella gen. nov. Barker, S.C. Type species: Australpavlovskyella gurneyi (Warburton, 1926), here designated. Type depository: British Museum (Natural History) London, according to Keirans & Brewster (1981). Species: Australpavlovskyella gurneyi (Warburton, 1926). Material examined: Table 1. Diagnosis: Larva without spinose zone within or near Haller’s organ; dorsal plate absent; two pairs of postcoxal setae; 11 pairs of dorsolateral setae. Adults with cheeks (digitiform-like structures), dorsoventral groove and hood; preanal and postanal groove marked; median post-anal groove intersected by the transverse post-anal groove in the middle of its origin in the anal ring, so the intersection forms a sharp angle; tarsi I–III with three dorsal humps; metatarsi I–III with poorly developed humps. Etymology: Australpavlovskyella gen. nov. is named in allusion to the geographical distribution of the species, which is restricted to Australasia. Distribution: Australia. ZooBank: The Life Science Identifier (LSID) for Australpavlovskyella gen. nov. Barker, S.C. is http://zoobank. org/ urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub: 734F423B-3A17-43AF-83BA-7ED940E7AE38
