LEVERAGING ONTOLOGIES FOR DATA INTEGRATION IN MEDICAL PROCESSES
This research addresses challenges in medical intelligence by developing a hybrid model that integrates ontology-based and virtual data integration techniques. The model aims to enhance the medical intelligence process through a database system designed to store medical records and software that is user-friendly, flexible, adaptive, intelligent, agile, and capable of automatic integration and analysis of medical data. By consolidating patient medical records from multiple hospitals, the system forms a comprehensive combinational resource accessible to authorized physicians. Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM) guided the system’s design, ensuring robust integration and improved decision-making support for healthcare practitioners managing critical health issues in real time
