A Discrete Relational Field Associated with the Group nZ as a Foundation for Quantum Mechanics

We propose to replace the traditional quantum wave function with a discrete relational field defined on the group (nZ,+). This field provides a relational and timeless description of quantum states, superposition, and entanglement. We also discuss the implications of this formalism for decoherence and for the interpretation of probability in quantum mechanics.

Abstract

We propose to replace the traditional quantum wave function with a discrete relational field defined on the group (nZ,+). This field provides a relational and timeless description of quantum states, superposition, and entanglement. We also discuss the implications of this formalism for decoherence and for the interpretation of probability in quantum mechanics.
