LEADERSHIP STYLES OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN RELATION TO THEIR ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE
This investigative research was undertaken to explore the relationship between managerial approaches of secondary education instructors and their institutional environment. The study population consisted of 100 secondary school faculty members recruited from 14 educational establishments, encompassing both public and private sectors within Chandigarh, employing random selection procedures. Data acquisition was accomplished through the implementation of Chandini's Leadership Style Assessment Tool (2019) in conjunction with Singh's Institutional Climate Measurement Scale (2015). The collected information underwent comprehensive statistical examination incorporating descriptive measures, variance analysis, t-test procedures, and correlational analysis, resulting in seven principal findings: (i) No statistically meaningful distinctions were observed in managerial approaches between male and female instructors. (ii) The institutional environment as perceived by educators demonstrated minimal gender-based variations. (iii) Teachers within public educational facilities reported institutional climates comparable to their counterparts in private establishments. (iv) Notable disparities emerged in leadership methodologies when comparing educators from public versus private educational settings. (v) Among male teaching professionals, no meaningful association was established between leadership methodology and institutional environment. (vi) Female educators similarly demonstrated no significant correlation between their managerial approach and workplace climate. (vii) The comprehensive sample revealed an absence of substantial relationships between leadership practices and organizational atmosphere.
