Evaluation of XR Pilots for Humanitarian Response Use Cases
XR Ireland partnered with Action Contre la Faim’s (ACF) Emergency Readiness and Response Unit (ERRU) and developed a proof-of-concept to demonstrate and evaluate cooperative and real-time experiences in XR for Helping People, Help People. The Action Contre la Faim’s ERRU aimed to enhance its capacity to respond to humanitarian crises through innovative training and simulation exercises. The ERRU partnered with XR Ireland to develop an emergency SimEx set in XR. The MVP was evaluated during an in-person event in Paris on 14 May 2025, with exercise participants from ACF’s internal emergency roster.
