Gravity as Emergent Time Dilation from a Five-Dimensional Delayed Scalar Field
This project develops a novel theoretical framework in which gravity emerges from a five-dimensional scalar field encoding hidden temporal delays. Unlike Kaluza–Klein models with spatial extra dimensions, the fifth coordinate is interpreted as a proper-time lag. The resulting effective four-dimensional theory reproduces General Relativity in the appropriate limit, while addressing open problems such as dark matter, dark energy, and singularities. The paper derives the full action, performs a small-delay expansion, analyzes weak-field limits and PPN constraints, and applies the model to gravitational lensing, gravitational waves, cosmology, black holes, and collider phenomenology. The framework provides falsifiable predictions that can be tested with current and future observations.
